Company History
Phillips Services roots are well established locally and historically. The company name of Phillips is taken from a long established family name which dates back to the start of the 19th Century when Captain George Phillips owned oyster dredgers and operated Limestone Quarries in the Mumbles area. Captain Phillips was the great, great, great, great grandfather of present day company director Steven Phillips Jones.

More recently George Phillips Jones operated an extensive Marine Engineering Services at Swansea Docks (General Engineering Ltd) established in 1922. This company used exclusively the electrical services of Campbell & Isherwood. When Campbell & Isherwood closed their Swansea branch it was arranged that some of Campbells staff transfer over to General Engineering setting up the new company in 1964, Phillips Services (Wales) Ltd.

Since this time the marine work has declined but the company has risen to the challenge and now provide a wide range of electrical engineering services.

It has recently (I999) welcomed back after an absence of nine years Mr Bob Harding who rejoins the company as Managing Director he heads a team of engineers and staff who are fully trained and able to cope with any project regardless of size and complexity.

Phillips Services are fully aware of their responsiblities to health & Safety at work and the enviromnet. All company policies are reviewed regularly and updated as required.
